i am taking up a endurance training and strength training, how would i know that it is correct?
for endurance training, i do thread mills 10 minutes and 30 minutes in cycling and for the strength training i do some leg press and some workouts with weights with my quads and squats?i do this all on week days and i run on weekends(sunday) for about 2.4 kilometers. Is my training programs right? can you give some advice to to my programs in the right way? NEED HELP. i wanna be a distance runner thats my goal.
sweet man. u wanna be a distance runner ay??well man. for starters i wuld subsititute the 30 minutes bike ride for like an extra 10-15 mins on the treadmill… up the 2.4 km to 3 on the weekends… but rest for at least two days per week. so u give ur body a chance to rest and recover.
then diet,……. no dnt diet.. just make healither choices.. for eg. u cum home frm skool or work. nd ur hungry, instead of havin a packet of chips and a soft drink . have a apple or bannana and a DIET coke.. start with this man. and when u’ve been doing this for a while up the kilometres…..
here i’ll give u a rough idea on what ur weekly training should be ok :
Monday.
20-30 mins on treadmill, squats, leg press and calf raises.
Tuesday.
3 k jog. abdominal work.
Wednesday.
20-30 mins on treadmill, squats, leg press and calf raises.
Thursday
3 k jog. abdominal work.
Friday.
Off
Saterday.
Off
Sunday.
too start your week really push your self mate, go out of your comfort zone. im talkin 5 k or sumthin like tht. .. seriously, over time you will realise tht ur Tuesday and Thursday training shcedule will be the 5 k. and your sunday training will be more like 7-8 k….
Ok.. now your proberly thinking, why should i trust this guy?? good question, the reason you should trust me is, because this time 3 years ago i was morbidally obese 123 kilos. i started jogging, useing a training schedule like urs. and now im 68 kilos, and i run in marathalons. for my state.. good old QLD
Hope this works man… any questions???
