weight training get big
Is it possible to convert muscle to fat and then burn it off without weight training?

Hellooooo, I’ve been working out for just under 2 months now. I weighed 154 at the beginning and I dont know why but I’ve only lost 2 lbs. I work out Mon-Fri, MWF – weight training for the entire body from a trainer, and 30 min of cardio, on Tue and Thur, I do cardio for 45 min. I have a trainer but i only see her for like 3 session and I don’t get to see her again for another month. I’ve been eating healthier, and I do notice my body is toning up. My legs have always been bigger, And since Weight training, theyve become more muscular but i’m extremely worried about that cuz all i really want is for them to get smaller..so should i stop weight training and just do hardcore cardio for now on? Or is this weight training helping them get smaller? i don’t really understand the whole “building muscle raises metabolism and burns fat faster” deal. Can someone please help me out? my main goal is to get smaller legs, but right now they seem too muscular.

Impossible. Fat is not the same as muscle and one can not be ‘converted’ into another. They are completely different, so you will shed fat and increase your muscle mass through training, (taking into account any required dietary changes) although you’ll be doing well to get too big without high protein levels or heavy weights. You can elongate muscles, through stretching, which helps them look longer and thinner.
Your trainer is not a good one if she hasn’t explained all of this to you in a way that you can easily understand.
