Should high school runners perform split body routines or whole body routines?
I am one of the top runners of my cross country team. I am a freshman in high school. I want to win the National Cross Country Championships when I reach my junior and senior year. I was wondering if split body routines are better than whole body routines when I am lifting? I want a lot of strength as I want to protect myself from dangers out in the world, but at the same time I want my running performance to prosper. I perform compound movements three times a week, but not the same every day. There are different exercises that I perform on every strength training day. Is it a better idea to split my workouts or perform full body workouts? Thank you for your time.
