How to gain more muscle?
Hey.
Im 15 years old, about 5′11, 50 kg and lookin to bulk up. I work out for about 30-40 mins every 2nd day, and am lookin for a way to make the muscle come easier. I need to focus more on the diet. I have some fat gaining powder which i have every morning, mixed with a raw egg, and have it after a work out. If you’se could list any good foods that can help me gain weight? But i have high cholestrol so the foods with bad fats i cant have. Any help appreciated.
Thanks
To build muscle, you need testosterone. If you haven’t hit puberty yet, you’re not going to be able to bulk up the way you want. You’ll be lean, but not muscular until you start producing testosterone in large quantities. Here’s a hint. If you don’t have hair in odd places, you’re probably not producing much testosterone yet.
Also, if you want heart healthy fats, eat fish. A 5 ounce can of tuna contains almost half of the protein you need in a day, only 120 calories, and twice the amount of the daily recommendation of heart healthy omega-3 fatty acids, which are great for your cholesterol levels. They’ll help lower your “bad” cholesterol (LDL), while raising your “good” cholesterol (HDL). Nuts are a great source of protein as well, but not peanuts. Since peanuts aren’t nuts, but legumes, their fats are a little different and are higher in saturated fats, which you probably don’t need right now.
Don’t despair though. Go ahead and build healthy habits now. Eat right. Exercise. When you do hit puberty in full force, then your body will be ready and you’ll bulk up nicely.
