I’m trying to lose weight and gain muscles at the same time. How should I go about my eating schedule?

Should I eat first, wait 2-4 hrs, then work out or work out on an empty stomach then eat?

You are swimming upstream. Do one or the other but not both. When lifting weights you will loose some fat because of the calories but not as much as if you were on a fat loose training program. When training for muscle gain if you do a lot of cardio and restrict your diet your progress will very slow if at all. Try gaining 10 lbs in muscle then going on a fat loose program.
