bodybuilding competitions florida

Loosing weight in our society has never been as important as it is today. There are as many gimmicks out there to entice everyone that there is a quick way to lose those unwanted pounds, many of us fall prey to this deceptive advertising. I have advised my clients and patients that are going through the rehabilitation process that eating like a bodybuilder will assure them that their bodies are using the food they consume more efficiently and that, the healing process after their surgeries will be improved.

Eating like a bodybuilder consists of the following

1. Eating smaller portions

2. Making sure the portions have combined a protein, carbohydrate, and a small amount of good fats.

3. Eating more frequently generally consuming anywhere from 4-6 meals a day.

What I have described above is a simplistic routine in regards to eating like a bodybuilder. Counting calories or describing what you should eat will be left up to you. All our needs are different counting calories can be and is time consuming unless you are entering a competition for instance. Eating clean sources of food like chicken without the skin, turkey breast for proteins, brown rice and sweet potatoes for a complex carbohydrate and almonds for instance all make up clean sources that you want to consume.

Eating smaller proportions will help our bodies use the food we eat more efficiently and assist in keeping our metabolism stoked and continually burning calories. Eating our foods in the above fashion will also help the healing process after having a surgery for instance. After surgery our entire body is stressed it needs all the help it can get. This includes not only eating right but staying hydrated properly with water and getting 7-9 hours sleep every night.

I have talked with some people that feel they do not have the time to prepare this many meals, remember, that two of those meals can be taken as a protein shake. Many good meal replacement drinks are out on the market today and have the right amount of nutrients also measured out for you.

Try eating more frequently and using smaller proportions and see if you do not begin to not only see a difference in your body, but feel a difference as well.
