Can I go for bodybuilding If I m diabetic?

I am type 1 diabetic for the last 4 years… I take insulin 3 times a day… I had infection in my lungs a few months back but I am ok now.. my question is that can I do bodybuilding???? is it harmful or benificial?>?>??

Will you be taking steroids?
